And I'm back!

Things have been a little crazy around here.  Finally I got up at 5 am for a workout.  Since I'm not use to getting up at that time it was very slow going, but I managed to do 4.5 miles before I had to get the kids ready for school.  Now I just need to keep the momentum and do it again tomorrow.  Things go so much smoother when I get my walk/run/workout in before anything else.  5 more pounds until I reach my first weight goal.  I think I'm going to have to lose 10 more after that to really see the results I want.  I'll let you know.  Later :)

Go, go, go.............

So I am still my one and only reader, but it is only my second post.  Today was a easy 5k (36:10) not too bad.  Wasn't really feeling it this morning.  Probably could use a rest day, but then I'd have to give up my daily endorphin rush.  I hate missing a work out--even if I only manage to do 2 miles.  Its 2 miles more than most people do.  I do take a rest day--usually on the weekend when the whole family is together.  Need to do some ab work.  Stomach not bouncing back so fast this time.  And I need to keep my food in check.  I am keeping track now with the lose it! app.  So far so good.  Pounds are dropping slowly but surely.

Guess I'll go and pretend that I'm folding laundry.  :)

Got to start somewhere.............

So here it is--my new blog.  It's exciting and nerve wracking all at the same time.  Not sure if anyone besides myself is going to read this, but if it keeps me going I'm ok.  Just finished a 10k on the treadmill in 1:09.  Not too bad for only my second time running it.  I don't do any special training--I really don't know a sprint from a fartlek I just run by feel and sometimes time.  I try to do now less than 2 miles and usually end up doing more.  When I started running I was about 50ish pounds heavier.  I couldn't even do 3 miles in under a hour.  Now I can run a 5k in 31-35 minutes depending what kind of day I'm having.

Ok, that sounded a bit boring.  Hopefully I can perk this blog up a bit!!  I welcome any suggestions on how to make the treadmill not boring.

Happy running!!
